Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the results in improving the cervical nerve root syndrome and daily activities of electroacupuncture combined with shortwave in patients due to cervical scapulohumeral syndrome. Subjects and Methods: Prospective study, clinical intervention, comparing results before and after treatment on 40 patients diagnosed with cervical scapulohumeral syndrome from October 2024 to May 2025 at the Department of Examination and Treatment on Demand - Central Hospital of Traditional Medicine. Results: After 14 days of treatment, there was a significant improvement in cervical nerve root syndrome and in the level of functional limitation in daily living activities, as assessed by the NDI, compared to baseline (p < 0,001).
