CLINICAL AND PARACLINICAL CHARACTERISTS OF PREECLAMPTIC PREGNANCY UNDERGOING C – SECTION AT HANOI OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: Description of clinical and paraclinical symptoms in pregnant women with preeclampsia undergoing cesarean section at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. Methods: A descriptive study, selecting all pregnant women with preeclampsia at gestational age from 20 weeks onward, with indications for pregnancy termination. Results: 97,5% of patients with preeclampsia presented with hypertension, while 40,7% exhibited clinical edema. Proteinuria was present in 91,4% of preeclampsia patients, with protein levels ≥ 3 g/L accounting for 69,1% of cases. Patients with mild preeclampsia showed virtually no changes in laboratory parameters. Severe preeclampsia more commonly presents with neurological symptoms (headache) than visual symptoms (blurred vision) (32,1% vs 11,1%). The majority of patients with severe preeclampsia demonstrated thrombocytopenia and elevated liver enzymes. Conclusion: Most preeclamptic pregnancy present with hypertension and proteinuria, while severe preeclampsia predominantly manifests with elevated liver enzymes and thrombocytopenia.
