TÁC DỤNG CỦA PHƯƠNG PHÁP CẤY CHỈ CATGUT KẾT HỢP QUYÊN TÝ THANG TRONG ĐIỀU TRỊ ĐAU VAI GÁY DO THOÁI HOÁ CỘT SỐNG CỔ

Abstract

Objectives: Evaluate effects of acupoint catgut embedding therapy combined with “Quyen ty thang” remedy on treating neck pain due to cervical spondylosis. Methods: This is an open - clinical trial with comparison before and after treatment’s result and compare with control group. 100 patients were divided into two group: the study group used acupoint catgut embedding combined with Quyen ty thang remedy, the control group used electro - acupuncture combined with Quyen ty thang remedy. Results: After 30 days of treatment, in the study group, the mean VAS score decreased from 5.70 ± 1.30 (points) to 1.60 ± 0.90 (points) (p < 0.05). The method improved the range of cervical spine motion and quality of life. The mean NDI score decreased from 20.04 ± 6.43 (points)  to 11.02 ± 3.76 (points), the difference was statistically significant (p < 0,05) and there were no statistically significant difference between the two group (p > 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of acupoint catgut embedding therapy with Quyen ty thang has good effects in treatment of neck pain due to cervical spondylosis.
