Abstract

Objective: To determine the prevalence of timely vaccination among children under 12 months of age under the Expanded Program on Immunization in Bac Lieu City, Bac Lieu Province, in 2025, and to identify associated factors. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 242 caregivers and children aged 9–21 months. Data were collected through direct interviews using a structured questionnaire. Results: The prevalence of timely vaccination under the Expanded Program on Immunization among children under 12 months was 59.5%. Factors significantly associated with timely vaccination included caregivers’ education level, economic status, number of children in the family, occupation, means of accessing information, and knowledge and attitudes toward vaccination. Conclusion: Timely vaccination among children under 12 months remains low, underscoring the need for better communication, service access, and caregiver awareness to improve coverage.
