REVIEW OF TREATMENT OUTCOMES FOR CESAREAN SCAR PREGNANCY AT HANOI OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY HOSPITAL IN 2023

Abstract
Objective: To review the treatment outcomes of Cesarean Scar Pregnancy (CSP) at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in 2023. Methods: A retrospective descriptive study was conducted on the records of patients diagnosed and treated for CSP at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in 2023. Results: The treatment strategy prioritized minimally invasive interventions, with 88.6% of cases initially managed by suction curettage methods. The overall uterine preservation rate reached 97.9%. The complication of severe blood loss (≥ 500ml) occurred in 9.3% of cases. Conclusion: A risk-stratified management strategy for CSP, based on characteristics such as gestational age, vascularity, depth of invasion according to Shih's classification, and βhCG levels, allows for achieving a very high uterine preservation rate and a low rate of severe blood loss.
