ASSESSMENT OF HPV VACCINATION STATUS AMONG FEMALE STUDENTS IN THE REHABILITATION FACULTY AT HAI DUONG MEDICAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Objective: To assess the HPV vaccination status among female students in the Faculty of Rehabilitation at Hai Duong Medical Technical Universit. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted. Results: The HPV vaccination rate among female rehabilitation students remained relatively low at 37.1%, with only 16.1% having completed the full three-dose schedule. The most common reason for receiving the vaccine was personal awareness of its importance (56.9%), followed by family encouragement and support (32.6%). Among those unvaccinated, the primary barriers were high vaccine cost (53.5%), lack of information about vaccination sites (12.5%), limited time (11.8%), lack of awareness about the HPV vaccine (8.3%), and concerns about potential side effects (5.5%). Conclusion: The overall HPV vaccination coverage among female rehabilitation students at Hai Duong Medical Technical University remains suboptimal (37.1%), with a particularly low proportion completing the recommended three-dose schedule (16.1%).
