Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted by directly interviewing 70 caregivers of stroke inpatients at Huu Nghi Hospital from February to April 2023. Results: Overall knowledge regarding stroke patient care was moderate, with an average score of 18.54/23, and 57.1% of caregivers scoring above average. Knowledge about stroke disease and daily living activities care showed high correct response rates (85.7% and 98.6% respectively), while knowledge concerning psychological care and complication prevention was limited. Factors such as age, gender, education level, duration and daily hours of care, and caregiver's health status were positively correlated with knowledge levels. Conclusion: Caregivers demonstrated insufficient knowledge in psychological care and stroke complication prevention. This knowledge level was associated with age, gender, education level, duration and frequency of care, and personal health status. Therefore, developing appropriate health education programs is essential to enhance caregiver competency, thereby improving patient recovery and quality of life.
