Background: Bleapharitis is a common chronic eyelid inflammation that tends to recur and may cause complications if not diagnosed and treated in time. Recognition of Demodex mites as a potential causative factor has gained increasing attention in recent years. Objective:The study aims to describe the clinic characteristics and contributing factors in patients diagnosed with Demodex blepharitis at Hai Duong Medical Technical University Hospital in 2024. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 31 patients diagnosed with Demodex blepharitis from October to December, 2024. The diagnosis was confirmed by microscopic examination of epilated eyelashes. Results: The majority of patients were over 60 years old (61.3%), female (female-to-male ratio ≈ 2.8:1), and lived in urban areas (87.1%).
