Abstract

Objective: To describe the characteristics of dyslipidemia in patients after percutaneous coronary intervention at Hai Duong General Hospital. Methods: A retrospective and prospective cross-sectional study with longitudinal follow-up was conducted on patients with coronary artery disease who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention. Patients were continuously monitored for 12 weeks, with lipid parameters including LDL-C, HDL-C, triglycerides, and total cholesterol measured at three time points: hospital admission (T0), after 4 weeks (T4), and after 12 weeks (T12). Data were analyzed using SPSS 20 software with appropriate statistical tests. Results: The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia was 18.4%, high LDL-C was 9.6%, and very high LDL-C was 4.4%. The proportion of patients with low HDL-C was 23.7%. The prevalence of combined dyslipidemia was 8.6%, while isolated hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia were 18.4% and 21.9%, respectively. The proportion of patients not achieving target LDL-C and non-HDL-C levels at hospital admission was 96.5% and 94.7%, respectively.
