Abstract

Objective: To assess the feasibility of applying quality management software and medical test result interconnectivity in Hai Duong province in 2024. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at 48 laboratories (PXN) across 12 provincial hospitals (BVTT), 12 district health centers (TTYT), and 21 private clinics (PKTN) in Hai Duong. The study focused on data related to interlinked patient test results, internal quality control (IQC), external quality assessment (EQA), equipment, reagents, testing methods, and personnel within the “Quality Management and Medical Test Result Interconnectivity Software.” Data analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel 365. Results: 5 out of 48 laboratories updated interlinked patient test data, covering 51 patients. 68.75% of laboratories updated IQC data with a total of 58,781 IQC results. 56.25% of laboratories updated EQC data with 84 EQC reports. 97.92% of laboratories updated reagent data, recording 250 types of reagents. 95.83% of laboratories updated personnel data, recording 234 staff members. 100% of laboratories updated data on equipment and testing methods, with 146 equipment categories and 315 testing method categories. Conclusion: The results demonstrate the initial feasibility of the software when deployed in healthcare facilities. The software not only facilitates the management of interlinked patient test results but also enhances quality control through the monitoring of IQC and EQC data, contributing to improved test quality. It is recommended that the software be further maintained, enhanced, and widely implemented across healthcare facilities.
