THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEDIATRIC PATIENTS AFTER DENTAL TREATMENT USING GENERAL ANESTHESIA

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the quality of life of pediatric patients after dental treatment using general anesthesia. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 83 parents of children aged 3 to 5 years old after dental treatment using general anesthesia at the Center for Advanced Technology in Dental Examination and Treatment, School of Dentistry, Hanoi Medical University and the Department of Pediatric Dentistry - Hanoi Central Hospital of Odonto - Stomatology. Results: ECOHIS score of the domain affecting children decreased by 74,44%, the highest decrease rate was seen in the functional domain (72,81%), followed by the symptom domain (70,47%) and the lowest in the social interaction domain (51,74%). Conclusion: Children's quality of life increased significantly after dental treatment using anesthesia, especially in the functional domain.
