CLINICAL STUDY ON SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS PATIENTS TREATED WITH COMBINATION THERAPY OF ORAL ITRACONAZOLE AND TOPICAL TERBINAFINE AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the treatment outcomes of seborrheic dermatitis in adults using a combination of oral itraconazole and topical terbinafine cream at the Hospital of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2025. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 30 patients with seborrheic dermatitis. The patients underwent screening and met the criteria to receive oral itraconazole combined with topical terbinafine cream for 4 weeks. Results: After 4 weeks of treatment, 90% of patients showed good to very good response to the therapy (p<0.001). All symptoms improved with at least a good level of response. No adverse effects were observed in the patients. Conclusion: The combination of oral itraconazole and topical terbinafine cream is a new and effective treatment option for adult patients with seborrheic dermatitis.
