Abstract

Objectives: 1. Describe the morphology of the penis of first – year medical students at Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2024 -2025. 2. Describe the current state of penile pathology in the above group of students. Research subjects and methods: Cross – sectional descriptive study on 168 male first – year medical sutdents, course 46, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2024 -2025. Research results: Male students were aged 18 to 20 years old. Average weight, height, and BMI were 66,78 ± 9,64 kg, 170,99 ± 6,10 cm, and 22,83 ± 3,04, respectively. Average puberty age was 14,45 ± 1,16, with 60 students masturbating, accounting for 35,71%; average masturbation fequency was 2,97 times for week. Male students with a history of circumcision were 10,71%. The flaccid panis length, penile circumference, and glad diameter were 6,35 ± 1,21 (cm), 8,25 ± 0,82 (cm), and 2,66 ± 0,3 (cm), respectively. The prevalence of penile pathology was 5,95%, 9,52% and 1,119%, respectively, recorded in phimosis, partial phimosis and hypospadias. Conclusion: The morphology of the penis in male medical sudents in consistent with the study of the morphology of Asians. The pathological status of the penis is also found im some students with phimosis, partial phimosis and hypospadias.
