Abstract

Study of 589 pregnant women giving birth at Phu Binh Hospital, Thai Nguyen from January 2024 to December 2024. Objective: Determine the rate of cesarean section, classify cesarean section according to Robson classification and comment on some indications in groups 1 and 3. Results: Cesarean section rate was 53.1%, contributing to the highest cesarean section rate were groups 5, 1, 3 with rates of 29.68%, 14.84%, 11, 13% respectively. The highest population size groups were group 3 with a rate of 41.8%, group 5 with a rate of 27.3%, group 1 with a rate of 25.1%. Causes of cesarean section in group 1: Fetal causes were large fetuses accounting for 10.1%, fetal distress was 12.2%, and fetal failure was 4.1%. Causes of cesarean section in group 3: Fetal distress contributed to the cesarean section rate of 43.3%, large fetuses contributed to 21.7%, fetal failure contributed to the cesarean section rate of 11.7%, cesarean section due to cervical insufficiency contributed to 40% of the cesarean section rate.
