Abstract

Objective: To assess Nam Dinh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital's preterm delivery treatment outcomes in 2025. Methods and subjects: Preterm deliveries between 22 and 37 weeks of gestation at Nam Dinh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025, were the subjects of this retrospective descriptive study. Results: 470 records met the selection criteria. Treatment rates for lung maturation injection was 8.9%. Maternal indicators (maternal fever, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, prior cesarean section) accounted for 62.2% of preterm deliveries, with cesarean sections accounting for the majority (55.1%). 2629 ± 560 grams was the average birth weight. Of the 124 instances with newborn problems, 68.5% had respiratory distress syndrome. In conclusion, the younger age group (26-35 years old) accounts for the majority of premature births, treatment rates for lung maturation injections and threatening prematurity are relatively low, and cesarean sections are the most common way of pregnancy termination, primarily recommended by the mother. Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome is the most frequent consequence.
