Main Article Content
Abstract
Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) caused by bleeding into subarachnoid space — the area between the arachnoid membrane and the pia mater surrounding the brain. SAH can cause sudden death or many dangerous complications, it requires prompt and timely treatment to enhance patient survival. SAH is divided into 2 categories according to the cause: injury and non-injury. Research is done on 49 deaths caused by SAH by Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Medicine Department of Vietnam Germany Hospital from 01/2004 to 12/2017. After initial onset of SAH, victims have more than 3 hours to be cured. Some of the more common symptoms of the patient include: skin and subcutaneous lesions (95.9%), skull fracture (75.5%) and the most common intracranial lesion is cerebral edema (77.6%). Most patients had injuries associated with 89.8%. The rate of SAH due to available cerebrovascular disease accounts for 10.2%.
