TREATMENT OUTCOMES OF DIRECT RESTORATIVE REHABILITATION USING FLOWABLE COMPOSITE AND A TRANSPARENT SILICONE INDEX WITH THE SUPPORT OF 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the treatment outcomes of direct restorations using injectable composite resin and a transparent silicone index assisted by 3D printing technology.
Subjects and Methods: This was an uncontrolled clinical intervention study. The study sample comprised 37 teeth restored directly. Clinical examinations were performed to assess treatment outcomes immediately after restoration and after 6 months of follow-up, based on selected FDI criteria for dental restorations.
Results: Immediately after restoration and at the 6-month follow-up, several esthetic, functional, and biological criteria were rated as good or very good according to the FDI 2010 criteria in 100% of the restorations.
Conclusion: The direct restoration technique using injectable composite resin in combination with a transparent silicone index assisted by 3D printing technology demonstrated promising esthetic and functional outcomes over a 6-month follow-up period.
