EVALUATION OF THE LEVEL OF VIMENTIN MARKER EXPRESSION WITH HISTOLOGICAL TYPE, HISTOLOGICAL GRADE AND POST-SURGERY STAGE OF GASTRIC ADENOCARCINOMA
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: Evaluate the level of Vimentin marker expression with histological type, histological grade and post-surgery stage of gastric adenocarcinoma.
Research subjects and methods: cross-sectional description, convenience sampling on 57 patients who met the selection criteria.
Results: The average age of the study subjects was: 62.09 ± 10.73 years old, of which the lowest age was 30 years old and the highest age was 86 years old. The male: female ratio is 1.59. The level of strong expression is most common in the mixed adenocarcinoma type, accounting for 38.5%. The strong Vimentin expression in the poorly differentiated group was the highest at 16.2%. The ratio of strong exposure intensity is greater than weak exposure intensity at tumor penetration depths.
Conclusion: Research with a larger sample size is needed to confirm the role of the Vimentin marker in gastric adenocarcinoma.
