Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the treatment outcomes of pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy in patients with recurrent/metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: A total of 40 patients with recurrent/metastatic NSCLC treated with pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy at Hanoi Medical University Hospital from January 2020 to January 2026 were included.
Results: The overall response rate was 57.5%, with a disease control rate of 90%. Median progression-free survival was 10 months (95% CI: 4.88–15.12). Common adverse events included anemia (55%), neutropenia (35%), vomiting (27.5%), and elevated liver enzymes (22.5%), mostly grade 1–2. Immune-related adverse events included interstitial pneumonitis (5%) and hepatitis (5%).
Conclusion: Pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy showed promising efficacy and acceptable toxicity in recurrent/metastatic NSCLC.
