CLINICAL OUTCOMES OF ALL-INSIDE ARTHROSCOPIC ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION USING HAMSTRING TENDON AUTOGRAFT AT VINMEC NHA TRANG INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL
Main Article Content
Abstract
Background: Anterior cruciate ligament injury is a common cause of knee instability and impaired functional mobility. Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using an all-inside technique with a hamstring tendon autograft has been increasingly adopted in clinical practice.
Objective: To evaluate the outcomes of arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using an all-inside technique with a hamstring tendon autograft at Vinmec Nha Trang International Hospital.
Materials and Methods: A prospective descriptive study was conducted in 30 patients with anterior cruciate ligament rupture who underwent arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using the all-inside technique at Vinmec Nha Trang International Hospital from September 2024 to April 2026. Outcomes were evaluated based on clinical characteristics, graft characteristics, and Lysholm scores before and after surgery.
Results: The mean age of the patients was 34.76 ± 5.24 years, with a male-to-female ratio of 1.31:1. Sports-related injuries were the most common cause of ACL injury (66.67%). The mean graft diameter was 8.98 ± 0.15mm, and the mean graft length was 59.57 ± 1.17mm. The mean postoperative Lysholm score was 96 ± 0.15, representing a statistically significant improvement compared with the preoperative score (p < 0.001). The rates of excellent and good functional outcomes were both 100%, with no poor outcomes reported.
Conclusion: Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using an all-inside technique with a hamstring tendon autograft is a safe procedure that provides good functional recovery of the knee joint.
