CLINICOPATHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND TREATMENT OUTCOMES OF MALE PATIENT WITH BREAST CANCER

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate clinical and paraclinical characteristics and treatment results of male patients with breast cancer. Method: A descriptive study was conducted with 54 male breast cancer patients who were diagnosed from 2014 to 2020 at Vietnam National Cancer hospital. Results: Mean age was 58; 77.8% were carcinoma NST; Endocrine receptor was positive in 94.4%, HER2 was positive in 14.8%; the percentages of stages 0, I, II, III, IV were 7.4%; 14.8%; 42.6%; 31.5% and 3.7; 5-year OS and DFS rate were 66.7% and 70.4%; the most common sites of recurrence were bone (42.8%), lung (35.7%); Prognostic factors include age, disease stage, and axillary lymph node metastasis.
