PERIODONTITIS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE

Abstract
Purposes: This study aims to explore the clinical features and the treatment results of chronic periodontitis in patients with chronic coronary artery diseases. Methods: A prospective study was conducted in patients with chronic coronary artery diseases. Results: In the diseased-group, the rate of bleeding gums was 100.0%, changing in shape of gums was 100.0%, changing in color of gums was 100.0%, itching gums, tooth sensitivity was 78.6%. 76.2% wobble, periodontal pocket 100.0%, gum recession 38.1%, exudation increase 92.9%. There was a marked improvement in GI, PlI, BOP, PD, and CAL at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months after treatment. Conclusion: There is a marked improvement in the index of periodontitis in patients with chronic coronary artery disease.
