Abstract

The danger of hepatitis B virus is shown in the global report of the World Health Organization. Although there are quite a few studies on hepatitis B, the overall prevalence is still quite high. Therefore, we conducted a survey on the prevalence of hepatitis B infection in Cau Ke district, Tra Vinh province in order to have some timely recommendations to improve people's health, knowledge and behavior. Research conducted on 212 Southern Khmer people from 18 to 60 years old shows that the rate of hepatitis B virus infection among Khmer ethnic people in Cau Ke district, Tra Vinh province in 2021 is 10.4%. There is a statistically significant relationship between sex, history of dental treatment and hepatitis B virus infection rate. Through research, it is necessary to strengthen health communication and education on prevention of hepatitis B virus infection for people.
