Abstract

Objective:To evaluate clinical and paraclinical characteristics and treatment results of breast abscess at K - Hospital. Method: A descriptive study was conducted with 215 breast abscess patients who were diagnosed from 10/2020 to 11/2021. Results:mean age was 27.9 ± 8.2; the proportion of abscess over 5cm was 61.9%; the proportion of single lesions was 60.5%; 94.4% of patients had antibiotic treatment before hospital admission; 50.7% of patients underwent drain procedure; the proportion of bacterial growth was 63.6%; staphylococcus aureus accounted for 91.5%;abscess features related to treatment failure include: abscess size over 5cm, diffuse lesions.
