Abstract

Hypertension and Diabetes are public health issues because of not only high prevalence, but also its effect on quality of life (QOL) of these patients. A cross-sectional study was conducted. The study described quality of life of outpatient at Can Tho Cardiovascular Hospital in 2021. SF-36 questionnaire was used. There were 310 outpatients participate in the study. The results indicated that the average age was 62.81 ± 8.98. The mean scores of 4 physical health domains including physical functioning, role physical, bodily pain and general health were 61.82; 32.16; 60.63 and 32.9 respectively. The mean scores of 4 mental health domains including vitality, social functioning, role emotional and mental health were 52.86; 59.9; 58.48 and 45.6 respectively. Hypertension and Diabetes mellitus patients had low QOL scores in some domains. QOL should be taken into account as treating management.
