Abstract
Background: Cerebral infarction is the most common type of cerebrovascular accident, accounting for 85%, cerebral infarction due to cardiovascular disease accounts for about 15% of the causes of cerebral stroke. Particularly for cerebral infarction patients with cardiovascular disease, there is a correlation between clinical characteristics and imaging of cardiovascular disease. Objectives: To assess the correlation between some clinical characteristics and cardiovascular diseases of patients with cerebral infarction. Methods: 86 patients were diagnosed with cerebral infarction and cardiovascular disease at the Department of Neurology and the institute of cardiovascular disease at Bach Mai Hospital from August 2014 to August 2015. Cross sectional description. Results: The highest prevalence was found in the age group over 50, 64 patients, 74.4%, male / female = 1.6. The average Glasgow score is 12.9; 57% of patients with cerebral infarction have a small area on the screen. Heart valves (40 patients) and atrial fibrillation (27 patients), accounting for 46.5% and 31.4%, respectively. Benchmarking has shown no difference in the level of Rankin cardiovascular recovery in cardiovascular disease groups. Also based on the test when squared showed no difference in the level of consciousness disturbances and cranial CT images between groups of patients with cerebral infarction due to cardiovascular disease. Conclusion: Infarcted cerebral infarction occurs primarily in people between 50-70 years, men more often than women. The average Glasgow coma score of cerebral infarction patients was high in cardiovascular disease group. The two groups of cardiovascular diseases common in patients with cerebral infarction are valvular heart disease and atrial fibrillation. The cause of cerebral infarction due to any heart disease is that the degree of disturbance of consciousness and CT image of the brain will not depend on causes of heart disease. Infarction of the brain due to heart disease, the sequelae moderate and severe is mainly.
