Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the quality of life of patients with palmar hyperhidrosis University of University Medical Center at Ho Chi Minh City. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was performed on 52 patients with palmar hyperhidrosis from January 2021 to July 2021. Data were collected by face-to-face interviews with specialized questionnaires and the HidroQOL questionare to assess quality of life. Results: There were 52 patients with palmar hyperhidrosis eligible to be included in the study. The mean age was 24.80 ± 6.43; Male accounted for 55.77%. The mean quality of life score of patients with hyperhidrosis in the 100-point scale with discomfort was 90.35 ± 10.05 points. In all 5 sections: living, labor, communication, psychology, special circumstances, the patient's quality of life were affected with the high level. Conclusion: The quality of life of patients with hyperhidrosis is detrimentally affected. This is a group of patients that deserve attention and proper early treatment to improve their quality of life.
