Abstract

Endometrial hyperplasia (non - atypia) can lead to endometrial cancer if not treated and monitored properly. Objectives: To evaluate the treatment results of EH non - atypia by the Intra Uterine device with progestin Mirena. Methods: Cross sectional study prospectively with longitudinal follow-up. Results: After 6 months of using mirena, the rate of low menstrual blood volume accounted for 78%, amenorrhea accounted for 10.7%. The thickness of the endometrium less than 4 mm   accounted for 85.7%. The rate of IUD withdrawal accounted for 9.7%. Conclusion: The results of the study suggest that the placement of mirena is effective in treating endometrial hyperplasia.
