SEVERAL RELATED FACTOR OF GINGIVAL ENLARGMENT

Abstract
Objective: to evaluate the clinical characteristics of gingival enlargement and several related factors. Subjects and methods: The study was conducted on 47 patients diagnosed with gingival enlargement. The clinical charscteristics included: localized nature, gingival enlargement location, gingival enlargement position according to anterior and posterior correlation, degree of gingival enlargement, rate of teeth having gingival enlargement and level of bone resorption. The surveyed related factors included: age, gender, systemic disease status, gingival bleeding, gingival index, oral hygiene status. Results and conclusion: There is the relationship between the gingival enlargement and GI index. No asociation with the systemic diseases was found.
