Abstract

Objectives: Determine serum CRP, albumin, and globulin levels in psoriasis patients and their relationship with disease severity at Hanoi Medical University hospital in 2021. Method: Cross-sectional description; Convenient sampling of subjects that met the criteria during the study period. There were 74 subjects in the research group and 74 subjects in the control group. Result: CRP concentration, serum CRP/albumin ratio of the study group was higher than that of the control group, with p <0.001. Serum albumin concentration of the study group decreased more than the control group with p<0.001. There was no statistically significant change in serum globulin levels between the 2 groups. There is a positive correlation between serum CAR ratio and disease severity. Relationship was not found between serum globulin levels and disease severity. Conclusion: In psoriasis, CRP levels, serum CRP/albumin ratio were higher than the control group and were positively related to the disease severity. There was no change in globulin levels in the patient. Serum CRP levels may be recommended as an aid in assessing the severity of plaque psoriasis in patients.
