SOME FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE OF PARENTS FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OLD TUBE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 IN DISTRICTS OF HANOI

Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study on 5224 people with children under 5 years old, currently living in inner-city districts of Hanoi from March 31 to April 8, 2022. The objective of the study was to determine the rate and some factors related to the agreements of parents for children under 5 years old to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Results: the percentage of parents who agree to give their children the vaccine against COVID-19 is 32,77%. Factors related to the rate of parents' agreement of children vaccinated; acceptance rate of the age group 41-50 and over 50 higher than group under 30 is 1,53 and 5,96   times; male  have acceptance rate is 0,64 times lower than female; research subjects (RS) is the group raising children alone acceptance rate higher the group married 1,41 times; with professional intermediate level/college/university and post-graduate education a lower rate than under and high school education of 0,44 and 0,29 times; chronic diseases, history of allergies, severe reaction after vaccination or underweight children,  children infected with covid reduce parental acceptance of injections by 00,62, 0,49, 0,51, 0,72 and 0,87 times; the family have 3 or more than 3 children compare to the family have 1 children is 0,83 and  2,55 times; father/mother or guardian go to work part time or at home higher RS go to work full time is 1,21 and 1,23 times. Conclusion: the results of the study showed that 32,77%  RS agree to give their children the vaccine against COVID-19. The factors related to acceptance rate  parent's age group, gender, marital status, education, working time, history related to covid infection, chronic medical condition, allergy history, child's weight and age group of the child, history of reaction after vaccinnation, number of children in the family.
