Abstract

Objective: Pain management is a goal of hypertriglycemia-induced pancreatitis treatment. Oral Numeric Rating Scale (NRS-O) can measure directly the subjective pain of patients [1]. The main purpose of research is overall assessment of patient’s pain with NRS-O and some related factors in patients with hypertriglycemia-induced pancreatitis in Intensive Care Center in Bachmai Hospital. Subject and method: We administered measures of pain intensity (NRS-O) to 21 participants with hypertriglycemia-induced pancreatitis in Intensive care center in Bachmai Hospital. Result: Moderate and severe pain intensity was common in patients with hypertriglyceridemia-induced pancreatitis and having some patients had severe pain intensity after the first 6 hours treatment in Intensive Care Center in Bachmai Hospital. The rate of severe pain intensity in patients with SOFA <2 or in patients with abdominal pressure below 16 cmH2O was similar in in patients with SOFA ≥2 or in patients with abdominal pressure above 16 cmH2O.
