ASSESSMENT OF EARLY REHABILITATION IN PATIENT AFTER HEMIARTHROPLASTY DUE TO TRAUMA

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the outcome of early rehabilitation in patients after hemiathroplasty surgery due to trauma. Subjects and methods: This is a study of 35 patients aged 70 years or older who were treated with hemiathroplasty surgery after hip fracture at Viet Duc hospital in 2021. Results: The early rehabilitation group improved better than control group in term of hip function and Harris score with p <0.05 at 1 week after surgery. Early rehabilitation had no influence on pain, mobility of the hip, but were’nt reduce complication and death in a short time. Conclusion: Early rehabilitation in patients after hemiathroplasty surgery due to trauma help patients achieve hip function and reduce postoperative complications.
