Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of high energy milk Care100Gold on the improvement of anthropometric indicators in children 36-59 months in Thai Binh. Methods: a controlled intervention study on 179 children 36-59 months old who were not overweight and obesity in 2 kindergartens in Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province. Results: After 4 months of intervention, the changes of weight and height in the intervention group were statistically significantly higher than the control group (1.5kg vs 1.1kg and 2.6cm vs 2.1cm, p<0.05). The intervention group showed a higher increase in all three indicators WAZ, HAZ and WHZ after 4 months compared with the control group (statistically significant with p <0.05). Conclusion: Using Care100Gold high-energy milk for 4 months effectively improves anthropometric indexes in children 36-59 months
