EVALUATING FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNTIONRELATED CHEMOTHERAPY IN BREAST CANCER AT VIETNAM NATIONAL CANCER HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate female sexual dysfunction in breast cancer chemotherapy. Subjects and Methods: 70 females breast cancer who werereceived adjuvant or neoadjuvant chemotherapy at Department of medical oncology 5, Vietnam National Cancer Hospital from April  to December 2019. They were evaluated sexual function before treatment and after the second cycle of chemotherapy. Evaluating sexual function by female sexual function index (FSFI) version 2000. Results: Most patients have treated by AC (doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide) regimen, 81,4%. The rate of patients without menstruation increased from 11,4% to 37,2%. The score of all six domains in sexual reduce after two cycles of chemotherapy. 93,4% of patients have sexual dysfunction after two cycles. Al of chemotherapy regimen cause sexual dysfuction in both premenopausal and postmenopausual patients. Conclusion: chemotherapy causes sexual dysfunction  in major women with breast cancer.
