SOME FACTORS RELATED TO WOMEN’S KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICES OF BREAST CANCER PREVENTION AND EARLY DETECTION IN 2017 IN 10th GARMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY

Abstract
Objectives: Describe several factors related to knowledge, practice of breast cancer prevention and early detection of women in 2017 in 10th Garment Joint Stock Company. Research method: Design by modeling method cross-sectional description on 259 female workers. Results: Female workers who have received information on prevention and early detection of breast cancer (UTV) had 5.9 times more knowledge about prevention and early detection methods of breast cancer than the group that did not received information (95%CI: 2.9-11.6; p<0.001). The group without a history of breast diseases knew more about breast examination methods at specialized health facilities than the group with a history of disease (OR=3.5, p<0.05). Female workers who received information and knowledge were shown to have better practices in breast cancer prevention and early detection than those who did not (p<0.001). The rate of mammography practice was 3.5 times higher in the group whose husbands worked in other occupations than in the group whose husbands worked as workers (p<0.01). Conclusion: For female workers, providing information about prevention and early detection of BC is critical.
