DETERMINE THE CLINICAL AND SUBCLINICAL CHARACTERSTICS OF PATIENT BITTEN BY COBRAS AT THE NGHE AN HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objective: Cobra bites cause diverse, severe and fatal diseases or sequelae or disability. The objective of the study is to determine the clinical and subclinical characteristics of patients bitten by cobras at the Nghe An hospital. Subjects and methods: A prospective, cross-sectional study of 30 patients bitten by a cobra from January 2021 to September 2021. Result: 2 species of cobra bite were encountered: N.astra (13.3%), N.kaouthia (86.7%). Common lesions include swelling (93.3%) and necrosis (66.7%). CK increased in most patients bitten by cobra with an average value of 1023.7±926.5mmol/l, the highest was 4875mmol/l, the lowest was 196mml/l. Conclusion: Common clinical symptoms of cobra bite are swelling and necrosis, subclinical is increased CK enzymes
