ASSESS SOME CHARACTERISTICS AND RESPONSE THE CARE NEEDS OF PATIENTS AFTER SURGERY FOR LARYNGO-HYPOPHARYNGEAL CANCER

Abstract
A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on 110 patients after surgery for laryngo - hypopharyngeal cancer, from July 2021 to May 2022, at the Head and Neck surgery and Oncology center, National Otolaryngology Hospital. Objectives: describe some characteristics and reality of meeting the care needs of patients after surgery for laryngo - hypopharyngeal cancer. Result: The rate of patients who have care needs: physical was 100% (80% high needs, 20% low needs), mental was 98.2% (44.6% high needs, 53.6% low needs), social was 99.1% (87.3% high needs, 11.8% low needs), health is 100% (90 .9% high needs, 9.1% low needs). Meeting care needs: good physical response is 87.3% (poor or no response is 12.7%), good mental response is 83.3% (poor response or non-responder is 16.7%), good social response is 83.5% (poor response or no response is 16.5%), good health response is 90% (poor response or no response is 10%).
