Abstract

Objectives: In order to have insight into intervention and education to prevent foot complications in diabetic patients, we analyzed factors related to knowledge, attitude, and practice of footcare among diabetic patients at Saint Paul General Hospital. Results: Had a statistically significant relationship between knowledge and educational level and sources of information access (p<0.05); between attitude with education level and source of access to information (p<0.05); between practice and family history and sources of information access (p<0.05). Conclusion: Knowledge, attitude, and practice of footcare among diabetes patients are not high. Developing a plan to improve knowledge, attitude, and practice of foot care for people with diabetes is necessary.
