STRESS AND ASSOCIATED FACTORS AMONG PATIENTS WITH POST- COVID-19 IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract
To assess the percentage of stress and associated factors among patient with post COVID-19 who checkup at two hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City in 2022. A cross sectional study was performed between January to March 2022 among patient post COVID-19 at least 4 weeks who checkup at two hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. The Perceived Stress Scale was used to measure the perception of stress. Data was collected via a self-administered questionnaire. A total of 325 patients completed the survey, the mean age of participant was 42.5 (±15.3) years and the majority of responsedent was female (61.8%). There was 23.4% of participants had stress catagorized the level of mild and severe was 14.8% and 8.6%, respectively. There was a significant relationship between stress and gender, present of commorbidities. (p<0.05). The presence of such increased prevalence and seriousness of stress disorders among patients post COVID-19 underlines the necessity for serious consideration to the mental health standing of these patients.
