Abstract

A study on fall prevention knowledge for patients of nurses in resuscitation and emergency department at two hospitals Vinmec Times City and Vinmec Nha Trang was conducted from February to July 2022. Objective: Describe the current situation of fall prevention knowledge for patients of nurses in resuscitation and emergency department at two hospitals Vinmec Times City and Vinmec Nha Trang in 2022 and Analysis of some factors related to fall prevention knowledge for patients of nurses in resuscitation and emergency department.  Subjects and research methods: 126 nurses in resuscitation and emergency department of 2 hospitals were selected and completed questionnaires on fall prevention knowledge for patients with a cross-sectional descriptive research method.  Result: 67.5% of nurses have good knowledge about fall prevention for patients, group of nurses with seniority working in the resuscitation and emergency department from 0-5 years have knowledge about fall prevention at only 59.2%, worse than the group with seniority in the resuscitation and emergency department over 5 years with the rate of 78.2%, the difference is statistically significant (POR=2.47; 95%CI: 1.12-5.48; p=0.03).
