Abstract

Background: Continuing Medical Education (CME) is a process in which medical workers constantly update their knowledge and latest advances in the field of healthcare, thereby improving their professional capacity to meet the health care needs of patients and medical system. Objective: Synthesized and analyzed the situation and factors related to continuous training for health workers. Methods: Systematic review. Results: Searched and analyzed 12 national studies related to continuous training for health workers. The results show that studies were carried out on many different subjects and locations. Conclusion: The demand for continuous training of medical workers is very high (over 80%). The percentage of health workers who have been continuously trained is not high (average less than 60%). The positive influencing factors on continuous training activities include: The attention of unit leaders; Standardization of training programs and documents; Teachers' pedagogy. The negative influencing factors include: Lack of staff in charge of continuous training; Limited funding; Overloaded with work; Training forms are not diverse, mainly theoretical lectures.
