KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, PRACTICE AND RELATED FACTORS TO PREVENT COVID-19 OF PEOPLE IN CAN THO CITY

Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to assess the completeness of knowledge, attitudes, and practices of COVID-19 prevention of people over 18 years in Can Tho city as well as factors influencing about their knowledge, attitudes, and practices in COVID-19 prevention. Methods and Materials: A cross-sectional study with 385 people over 18 years was carried out between May and August 2022. Data were collected by interviewing strategy of a structured questionnaire. Results: The rate of sufficient knowledge, positive attitude and good practice was 86,0%, 94,3% and 82,3%, respectively. In the group of people with sufficient knowledge, the rate of positive attitude and practice was also high (both over 90%). The correlation between general knowledge and common practice on COVID-19 prevention (n=308) was exactly 94.8%; the correlation between general knowledge and general attitude about COVID-19 prevention (n=308) was exactly 94.8%; the correlation between general attitude and common practice on COVID-19 prevention (n=342) was exactly 94.2%. Conclusions: Knowledge, attitude, and practice in COVID-19 prevention of Can Tho city people reach a high level. By supplying with knowledge and implementing good ideological work, people will have a more positive attitude and higher practice of disease prevention.
