PROLONG COVID 19 IN PATIENTS WITH GOOD SYNDROME- A LITERATURE REVIEW AND REPORT OF A CLINICAL CASE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Good Syndrome (GS) is a complex disease consisting of thymoma associated with humoral and/or cellular immunodeficiency. The occurrence of recurrent infections, autoimmune diseases, paraneoplastic syndromes and various aberrations in the immune structure are common problems in GS patients. GS patients often have a poor prognosis with high mortality, especially after persistent or recurrent infections. The Covid -19 pandemic, which is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, can attack any entity, including patient GS. Long-term Covid-19 disease status (prolong Covid / long duration of Sars-CoV-2/ time for negative Sars-CoV-2 > 12 weeks) with signs of infection, high fever, erratic, prolonged fever are common signs was found in the group of GS patients with Covid 19. The patient can quickly die if not diagnosed and treated promptly. We introduce a case of Covid 19 infection in a patient with Good's syndrome for colleagues to refer. General issues about this disease are also gathered and discussed with you.
