Abstract

The process of coordination between doctors and nurses in patient care is the exchange of information, knowledge and cooperation between doctors and nurses to create professionalism in treatment, care and safety. - quality - effective for patients. The study was conducted on 52 nurses who directly took care of patients at clinical departments and the patient's medical records were inpatient treatment at Vinh University of Medicine Hospital from 3/2020 to 8/2020. The obtained results: the average score of the level of patient care coordination after the intervention to improve the coordination of doctors and nurses is higher than before the intervention 3.4 points over time (from 12.8 to 16.2) with a 95% confidence interval from 2.9 to 3.9 with p < 0.05. There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores before and after improving the coordination of doctors and nurses in patient care of individual groups of factors (age, professional level, seniority of work). work, position assigned to care); on the care assignment model (primary care nurse) with p < 0.05.
