Abstract

Objectives: Describe clinical features of depression in patiens with premature ejaculation. Subjects and methods: Cross-section description of patiens with premature ejaculation at the Department of Andrology Medicine, Bach Mai hospital from August 2021 to July 2022. Results: There are 35.3% of patients with premature ejaculation have depressive disorder, the rate of outpatients with mild depression accounts for 65.5%. Loss of interest symptoms appeared the most with the rate of 89.1%, followed by depressed mood and decreased energy, fatigue. The most common symptoms are self-esteem, accounting for 72.7%, followed by decreased concentration and sleep disturbance. Most patients with depressive disorder have reduced sex drive, accounting for 85.5%. Conclusion: Depressive disorder is a common disease in patients with premature ejaculation, symptoms of depressed mood, loss of sexual appetite, loss of interest are the most characteristic symptoms of the study group.
