RESEARCH OF DEPRESSION IN PATIENTS WITH AUTOIMMUNE MYOSITIS

Abstract
Objectives: Describe depression in patients with autoimmune myositis according to Beck scale. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 36 patients diagnosed with autoimmune myositis, treated at the Musculoskeletal Center - Bach Mai Hospital and the Department of General Internal Medicine - Medical University Hospital. Hanoi from 10/2021 to 7/2022. Results: Patients with depression accounted for a high rate (69.4%), in which mainly mild depression (accounting for 30.6%), moderate and severe depression accounted for same rate (19.4%). The most common symptom in patients with depressive disorder according to the Beck scale is being more irritable and irritable than before (accounting for 88%), feeling bored and sad at times (72%), feeling defeated. more than others (68%). The group of depressed patients had an older age, a longer duration of illness, and a higher serum CK concentration than the group of non-depressed patients. The proportion of patients with interstitial lung disease and skin lesions in the depressed group was higher than in the non-depressed group. Conclusion: Patients with depression accounted for a high rate (69.4%), of which mainly mild depression (accounting for 30.6%).
