GASTRIC BEZOARS: CLINICAL, ENDOSCOPIC FEATURE AND RESULTS OF TREATMENT USING IMPROVED TOOLS

Abstract

Gastric bezoars present hardly in clinical that could dued to morbidity diseases. Treatment with gastric bezoars had numerous difficulties with high ability complications associate with traditional methods. Aim of us study research clinical, endoscopic feature and results of treatment by gastroendoscopy using of improved tools. The prospective study with 30 patients was diagnosed gastric bezoars at 108 Military Central Hospital from 01/2018 to 12/2020. In 30 patients had 17 men, 12 woman, average age 51,3±5,3; with average size of gastric bezoars 3x5,5x9 cm. There were 22/30 (73,3%) had only one gastric bezoars, 27 (90%) have dark colour and hard bezoars, 25 patients 83,3% have gastric-duodenal ulcers and all of them lost their symptoms, ulcers healed on after six weeks conservative medical treatment. By using improved tools, all bezoars were successfully fragmented. There were no complications in this study.
