THE INFORMATION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS NEEDS CAREGIVERS OF DEMENTIA PATIENTS AT THACH THAT DISTRICT, HA NOI FROM 2020 TO 2021

Abstract
Objective: Describe of information and psychological stress needs of caregivers of dementia patients and related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 90 caregivers of demetia patients at Thach That District from 2020 to 2021, using Camberwell Assessment of Need for the Elderly (CANE) for information and psychological stress needs. Results: 55.6% of unmet caregivers' information and psychological stress needs, which on average 53.1% did not receive help from informal care and 93.7% from formal care. The need for information and psychological stress increased when the patient's dementia stage according to CDR increased (p<0.05). The psychological stress need has a statistically significant relationship with the average family income (p<0.05). Conclusions: The majority of caregivers of dementia patients have an unmet need for information and psychological stress, both from informal and formal care, and has a statistically significant related to stage of dementia and their income.
