Abstract

Introduction: Stress is more prevalent when a person is in high school, and it is more intense than at other times in life. In order for schools and families to assist children's learning and development, evaluation studies are essential. Objectives: Determine the stress rate and stress-related factors. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study using the PSS-10 on 494 students at Nguyen Du High School, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City in 2022. Results: Students had a stress rate of 33.8%. Some factors affecting are expectations, the number of classes taken, and connections with teachers and friends, parental expectations and management, financial worries, and self-imposed pressure. Conclusion: Students frequently experience stress, and it is possible to intervene in the related aspects. Implement stress screening programs and intervention strategies simultaneously as soon as possible.
